Service Description

The Class: Designed for those with some experience, this class will refine your techniques on the wheel and introduce more advanced forms, trimming, and surface decorating methods. Explore new challenges, experiment with shapes, and elevate your creativity as you build confidence and control with clay. Materials: Everything is provided for you—clay, tools, glazes, decorating materials, and aprons. You take any finished pots home but leave the tools/aprons behind for future studio use. The class clay is a mid-fire, functional, food-safe white stoneware clay. You only need to bring yourself, your hands, a good attitude, and, very importantly, casual clothing that you aren’t afraid to get dirty. As you can imagine, pottery can be a messy affair. Don’t be surprised by the occasional smear of clay on your pants or glaze stain on your sleeves—getting dirty is all part of the fun.
